Compassionate, evidence-based speech and language therapy nestled in the heart of New England's mountains and forests.
Sarah Bailey, M.S., CCC-SLP
I'm Sarah Bailey, a licensed speech-language pathologist with over fifteen years of experience helping people communicate with confidence and joy. A New England native who recently returned to her roots after a successful career in Maryland, I founded Monadnock Speech and Language to bring that depth of experience home — to the people and communities I've always loved.
During my time in Maryland, I worked extensively within the Howard County and Baltimore City school districts, supporting students across a wide range of communication needs and backgrounds. Those years sharpened my skills, deepened my empathy, and reinforced my belief that every child deserves a voice that is heard.
Now rooted in the hills of southern New Hampshire, I serve clients throughout the Monadnock region, Concord, and Manchester, with telehealth available across all of New England for those who need the flexibility.
Comprehensive evaluation and therapy services tailored to each child's unique needs, goals, and pace. No two journeys sound alike.
Supporting children ages 12 months through age 5 in building vocabulary, sentence structure, and the joy of communication. Parent coaching woven throughout.
Helping children speak clearly and confidently. I address sound errors and phonological patterns with a playful, judgment-free approach that keeps kids engaged and motivated.
Evidence-based therapy for children who stutter or clutter. I take a holistic view, building both technique and the confidence children need to communicate freely at school and at home.
Expertise in low- and high-tech AAC systems to help nonspeaking and minimally verbal children find their voice, connect with others, and participate fully in school and life.
Supporting children in kindergarten through middle school with reading comprehension, written expression, vocabulary, and the language skills that underpin academic success.
Therapy delivered in the comfort of your own home, where children feel safe, relaxed, and ready to learn. Serving families throughout the Monadnock region, Concord, and Manchester.
Every child I work with brings a unique set of strengths, experiences, and a communication profile all their own. My job is to understand that profile deeply — and to build a therapy plan that is both rigorously evidence-based and genuinely fun.
I draw on established frameworks including the PROMPT approach for motor speech and play-based intervention models. I use play, movement, and a child's own interests to make every session something they look forward to.
Progress happens fastest when families are partners. I coach caregivers throughout, sharing strategies and home activities so that growth continues long after our session ends.
Every technique I use is grounded in current peer-reviewed research, continuously updated as the field evolves.
Goals are set collaboratively with clients and families, reflecting what matters most in their daily lives.
Caregivers are active participants. I provide coaching so that progress extends well beyond our sessions.
Kids thrive when therapy meets them where they are. Every plan is built around a child's interests, learning style, and what matters most to their family.
I am an out-of-network provider. I provide detailed superbills that many families use to seek reimbursement. HSA and FSA accounts are welcome.
If you have concerns about your child's speech or language, a free consultation is the best place to start. Early intervention makes a meaningful difference.
Every client is different. Some reach their goals in a few months; others benefit from longer support. We'll discuss realistic timelines at your initial evaluation.
A 20-minute phone or video call to discuss your concerns and goals — a low-pressure way to see if we're a good fit before committing to a full evaluation.
My practice serves families throughout the Monadnock region, Concord, and Manchester with in-home therapy sessions. I also accept NH Medicaid and participate in the NH Education Freedom Account (EFA) Program for homeschooled children.
Monadnock Speech and Language specializes exclusively in working with children from 12 months through middle school age. At this time, we do not provide services for adults. If you are seeking speech-language therapy for an adult, we are happy to help point you toward appropriate resources in the region.
